Well I am back in from my operational tour which was not as bad as I had imagined once I got there. It was a great, if sometimes slightly scary experience and the scariest moment wasn't even one involving my own safety but that I was in real fear that I had lost one of my best friends. Thankfully they were fine but all the same they were shaken up as one of their colleagues was killed.

I expect to get back into my usual way of things pretty soon. I have the exciting prospect of buying my first car in the coming months and the usual stuff after returning from ops like a parade and getting my first medal!

So yeah, I am glad to be home and my family were even more happy to see me back home too.
